When the Notebook is syncing, it is saving the information to OneNote Online. NOTE: You may see "Syncing" at the top of the OneNote Notebook next to the Notebook name. I would guess they will add it eventually because we have things like Maths features in the Windows 10 Store app, IIRC this uses ink to text but only in the context of Math. OneNote opens to where you were when you closed the app. Feature is not available in any of the Mobile / 'App' versions of OneNote.
